When you become a member, you join the League at all levels—local, state, and national.

  • Membership dues are offered on a sliding scale, with a recommended rate of $75 per person and a minimum of $20.
  • A member may join or renew on behalf of another individual. When adding an additional member, the selected dues amount applies to both memberships, meaning the total will be doubled. We recommend deciding on a combined amount and splitting it between the two members.
  • Auto-renewal is available for your convenience. Memberships renew on the anniversary of your join date, and you will receive advance notice before any charge. Auto-renew settings can be updated or canceled at any time.
  • Dues are shared among the national League of Women Voters (LWV), the League of Women Voters of Florida (LWVFL), and the League of Women Voters of Orange County (LWVOC), with 20% supporting our local League.
  • Tax Deductibility: Only the portion of dues allocated to the local League (20%) is tax-deductible. Membership dues may not be paid using Donor-Advised Funds or other accounts that must be distributed entirely to 501(c)(3) organizations. However, donations to LWVOC from these accounts are always welcome.

When you join online, your membership dues will show up on your bank or credit card statement as three transactions -- one each to LWVOC, LWV of Florida, and LWV of the United States. You’ll be a member of all three!

LWVOC also offers two additional membership types: Associate and Student.

Associate Memberships are for people who belong and pay dues in another League. Associate members have the same access to the member side of our website and share the same features as a LWVOC members, but do not pay dues to LWVOC.

Student Memberships
are for students ages 16 and older and enrolled in high school, college, or a technical school. LWVOC subsidizes 100% the cost of student memberships. Students memberships are equal to other memberships in LWVOC.

To join as a Student or Associate, please fill out this form - JOIN Form for Students/Associates.

About Donations  LWVOC relies on the generosity of our member donations in order to be able accomplish all that we do. We receive 100% of donations made to our League; they are not split with the national and state Leagues.

Tax Deductibility  LWVOC is a 501(c)3 and all donations made to us are fully tax deductible.

Donate to LWVOC  New and renewing members will have an option to make a contribution to their local League on the LWVUS website upon joining or renewal. Instead, make your donations on our website below so your donation will be recorded in your LWVOC account.
