We are not letting up! At yesterday's Hot Topics on Redistricting, the panelists reiterated that it will take concerted pressure to make sure the state legislators do not allow mid-cycle redistricting, usurping our state Constitution. If you didn't attend or tune in on Facebook Live, we'll have a full RECAP by next week with a recording, review, and "take action" guidance.
In the meantime, keep doing what you started last week. It will take more than a "day of action" to stop this redistricting effort. Visit our helpful "Say NO" guide HERE and FOCUS on doing your part to make our voices heard!

| The Co-chairs of two of our most important League committees need your help. Step up to be a volunteer and join one or both of their teams!
MONTHLY HOT TOPICS
Our League’s signature event is successful due to dedicated volunteers who step up each month. The team is in need of additional support:
- Running Slides during Hot Topic panel discussions, a super easy task, 2 or 3 people would provide back-up support
- Management of Registrations monitoring and assisting members with registration in days preceding each month’s event. Minimal training and time commitment is required for this task.
If you regularly attend Hot Topics, consider joining this team. It takes many hands and heads to make it happen. Contact: Karen Estrin or Diana Smith
MEMBER SERVICES BENEFITS:
- Get to know members; put faces with names
- Support the League’s advocacy education
- Help members engage with the League community
This is the role of the Members Services Committee for over 800 members of LWV Orange County. We are seeking volunteers for this committee in both support and leadership roles. Contact: Pat Grierson or Barbara Knapp | We are getting A LOT of requests for tabling at local events and need VOLUNTEERS! Check out the information below to sign up and help us empower voters. Visit Volunteering Opportunities often as it is updated regularly. Shown below l-r: new members Audrey Mills and Jennifer Willman, with longtime Leaguer Saudi Ellis performing voter outreach at Lizzie Rodgers Park in Orlando for National Night Out. The Lake Sunset Neighborhood Association has invited us to participate for three years in a row. It was a fun, family event with a record attendance. Our new pocket constitution giveaway was a great hit with the public. Our volunteers are priceless and this was recent HS graduate Audrey’s first event! Thanks to her Dad for bringing her and helping us setup and breakdown the tent. | |

 | Grassroots start with seedlings and LWVOC is making it easier for parents of young children to gather for meaningful discussions with their children. Fortunately, meeting at The Burrow kept the kids busy while the grown-ups were able to engage in some meaningful conversation about the future we're building for the next generations. Look for another parent/child meeting soon! | | | | Moira Oliver
