As Women's History Month winds to a close, we salute the inspiring women of our past, the steadfast women of our present, and the determined young women who seek to make a better future for all.  Since this year's theme is "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion," it's fitting that we highlight our own DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility) Committee. Click HERE  to learn how you can become more involved with their team.

So many Leaguers have impactful life stories as well as LWVOC experiences and we want to hear about them, especially during Women's History Month!  As we've learned at recent League events, stories connect us and in so doing, help all of us defend democracy.

Register HERE  Join us as we delve into the evolution of Florida's Sunshine Law in our upcoming panel discussion. Initially hailed as a model for transparency nationwide, the 1967 law has encountered numerous exemptions over time, leaving it "cloudy" with uncertainty looming. With over 1,000 exemptions approved by successive state Legislatures and governors, the clarity of this once-envied legislation has diminished.
