JAN 17 MLK Jr. Parade Marchers Wanted

Honor Dr. King's legacy by marching in the Eatonville Parade on Jan 17 from 1p-4p

Join League members, schools, marching bands, civic organizations and community leaders in celebration of Dr King's dream and the spirit of the Eatonville community as we march in the 49th annual MLK Parade. Sign up on the volunteer page.

We'll be wearing League shirts and dark pants. You may park at the Denton Johnson Community Center. (Arrive by 1p)  

Not up to walking? We've got you covered. We'll shuttle you to the parade start. You can ride and wave from our flatbed trailer. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration of Dr. King's message of unity, equality and hope.

Parking at Denton Johnson Community Center, 400 Ruffel St. Eatonville
Arrive between 1230 and 1245 to allow transport to the Assembly location.
Assembly at 30 South Keller Rd, Eatonville (Reserve at Maitland)
Ride and wave; or walk and wave. We want you there.
Parade ends a few blocks from the Community Center. The "shuttle" will be available

After streets are shutdown, use the back way to get to Parade Parking: 
On 17-92, or from I-4 and Lee Rd , get to 1875 S. Orlando Ave. Maitland (17-92), which is Holler Ford.  Just north of Holler, turn west on MONROE AVE, right on JONOTEY DR, left on FITZGERALD, right on S WEST ST. left on RUFFEL ST.   DENTON COMMUNITY CENTER is there, CORNER OF WEST and RUFFEL.
Park and take the LEAGUE SHUTTLE (golf cart driven by Mitchell Sullen 407-529-5531) to the parade start, which is the office park RESERVE AT MAITLAND, 30 S. Keller Road. The Town of Eatonville will also be running a shuttle, but they expect it to be crowded. Driver of the League's parade float is James Erwin (336-575-4964)
