Metro Orlando ranks 3rd nationally for its lack of affordable housing for income challenged residents. SPEAKERS Tanya Adams is Strategy and Engagement Director for Ability Housing Inc., a non-profit that provides affordable housing for the homeless. Martha Are is Executive Director of the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida, the lead agency for the Central Florida CoC. Martha has 30 years of experience in homeless services ranging from front line work to program management, statewide advocacy and staffing the governor's council on homelessness in North Carolina. Nancy Sharifi is Assistant Manager for the Orange County Department of Housing and Community Development Division. Alberto Vargas has been the manager of the Orange County Planning Division since 2012, where he is responsible for long range and current planning as well as urban design and peacemaking. He has 20 years of experience in Planning and Urban Design. MODERATOR Sandi Vidal is the Vice President of Community Strategies and Initiatives for the Central Florida Foundation. She has more than 8 years of nonprofit leadership and more than 20 years of Business Management experience. She is a local Jefferson Award winner for volunteerism, and currently serves as the Board Secretary for the League of Women Voters of Orange County.
