Re-certify to Register Voters

All members interested in registering voters need to take the new training and test to be able to do so. The state league requirement that puts everyone on the same timetable for renewal. The re-certification lasts 2 years. All who re-cerfity are good till  2019.  Here's the link:

The LWVOC Voter Services committee will be at the 7th Annual Dragon Parade Lunar New Year Festival on Sunday, February 25th, from 11 am - 5 pm, registering voters.  The parade occurs in the Mills50 District and the parade begins at Thornton Avenue and Oregon Street and ends at the 728 N. Thornton Avenue parking lot.

We are looking for volunteers to register voters.  To register voters, you must be certified with the LWVOC.  If you are not currently certified, you can take the training and test above.  

Volunteer Shifts:
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM (includes set up; volunteers at the event will show you wear to set up)
12:30  PM - 3:30 PM
3:30 PM - 5:30 PM (includes breakdown)

2 volunteers are needed for the following dates from 11 am - 2 pm (except for 4/21) to register at the Orlando VA Medical Center, located at 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827.  Park at the West Ramp and there will be a table for you in the LKN Lobby Hallway/Crescent Room.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the Women's Day of Action on January 21, 2018 at Lake Eola.  The LWVOC had a table at the event to register voters.  Speakers spoke on issues such as intersectional feminism, voting, Puerto Rico, the environment/clean water, violence against women, disparity, and women inspiring women.
